Top Car Makers
One of the critical questions many parents want to know is “Is my child safe playing with this toy?”
In this review we will look at the manufacturers we recommend in this market for children’s toy’s aimed at children aged 2 years up to around 7 to 8 years. We may add to this list over time, so keep checking back.
Many of the toy makers recommend their toys up to the age of 10 years. We believe that around the age of seven or eight little boys in particular want more speed and that can only come either from the ‘cool’ top end products which can reach speeds of up to 15mph (24kmph), or they want to drive the real thing.
There are many driving schools springing up in the UK and abroad which do cater to this demand on private circuits where children as young as 12 years may sit behind the wheel of a real car. In some places abroad, children may be taught driving skills from as young as 5 years in electric cars.
Here we will stick to the toy manufacturers rather than focus on the skills schools.

Others
There are many other manufacturers in the market who operate in different age brackets, offer electric scooters and other ride on products such as Razor that are not included within this review.
There are more and more companies coming into the marketplace, some of whom are developing a reputation and we are monitoring the state of play so to speak. Further recommendations may become apparent in the future, but this is our recommended list of manufacturers to date.

Bottom Line
With many parents aware of the product quality scares in recent years within the toy marketplace, we feel that the safety standards met by these toy providers would reassure parents that these toys are fun, educational and most of all safe for their children.
